Thilo Kehrer terms West Ham United teammate Declan Rice ‘one of the best’ in the world
Thilo Kehrer believes West Ham United teammate Declan Rice is “one of the best” midfielders in the world.
The 23-year-old has been one of the star performers for the Hammers over the last few seasons and this year, he is once again thriving after being given a chance to lead the side once Mark Noble retired at the end of the last season.
Kehrer, in a video shared by Football Daily on Twitter on Friday, 07 October, heaped praise on his teammate who according to him is a very “complete” midfielder.
“For me, Dec can be one of the best midfielders [in the world],” he said. “With his abilities, I don’t see a lot of midfielders with the same quality and range or strengths as a central midfielder.
“I am sure he will reach another level in the upcoming seasons. He is very complete as a midfielder and it’s a pleasure to play with him.”
Big game player
West Ham entered the season hoping to improve what they did in the previous campaign where they finished on the seventh position in the league table and also played in the semi-final of the UEFA Europa League where they lost to eventual winners Eintracht Frankfurt.
One of the reasons why the Hammers were so successful in the last two seasons was the performances of Rice in the middle of the park where he was simply sensational.

In the ongoing campaign, the England international has been one of the star performers for the club despite the side having a slow start.
The fans will be hoping that Rice will be able to continue the momentum going and keep producing superb performances for the side throughout the campaign.
The London-born midfielder is the Irons’ academy product and was promoted to the club’s senior team in the summer of 2017.
In the ongoing campaign, Rice has represented the side in 11 matches across all competitions where he has managed to score two goals [Transfermarkt].
