‘That’s so West Ham’ – These Hammers fans react to update on Odubeko v Doncaster
West Ham fans have reacted in frustration on Twitter to an update on the availability of academy prospect Mipo Odubeko.
Writing on Twitter, club insider and reliable source ExWHUemployee revealed he is unlikely to feature in the match after confusion surrounding a positive Covid rest result.
The 18-year-old striker was set for his first start today in our FA Cup fourth-round tie against Doncaster Rovers, but has had to self-isolate all week due to Covid-19 regulations.
He stated the youngster was self-isolating under false information and is now expected to play no part due to a lack of match fitness.
David Moyes’ most recent comment on the matter was that club are waiting on the doctor to give his verdict and see which test is ‘correct’.
Odubeko is a highly rated prospect from the West Ham youth team. He made his debut for the club in the 1-0 win away to Stockport in the last round of the FA Cup.
We were expecting West Ham to play Michail Antonio for his third game in a week against Doncaster. The Englishman’s in fine form, scoring the winner in each of our last two games against Burnley and West Brom.
However, he has to make do with a place on the bench today.
Many Hammers fans had plenty to say regarding the news about Mipo and West Ham Zone picked out the best responses below:
