‘That is likely’ – Athletic journalist details West Ham stance on Grady Diangana loan exit
West Ham United boss David Moyes has admitted that he is looking forward to working with Grady Diangana next season, but that could be about to change.
After impressing at West Brom, there is the possibility that he could once again exit the London Stadium temporarily.
Much to the delight of the Irons fans, it is increasingly unlikely that the Hammers will sell one of their brightest talents before giving him a real chance.
It is suggested that a loan move would be very expensive for other clubs, and would test the nerve of any potential suitors, such as West Brom.
The Athletic’s Steve Madeley has recently reported that the Irons could sanction another temporary exit for the exciting winger.
“West Ham are unlikely to sell Grady Diangana, but might sanction another spell on loan,” he wrote.
“That is likely, however, to be expensive and late in the window, so a pursuit of the winger could test Albion’s nerve.”
It does seem strange that Moyes would allow Diangana to even go out on loan after his recent comments, although it also looks very beneficial from a finances point with the Hammers struggling for funds as it stands.
Players such as Fabian Balbuena and Felipe Anderson have been tipped to leave, and if the latter does, Diangana will surely be going nowhere.
The Brazilian has been nowhere near good enough since joining two years ago, and now might be the perfect time to utilise the Irons talent.
