David Moyes told to quit West Ham United to be next Celtic manager after development on Wednesday
Tam McManus has urged David Moyes to quit West Ham United and take the vacant managerial position at Celtic.
Moyes led his side to a historic European triumph on Wednesday evening after the Hammers beat Fiorentina 2-1 in Prague.
However, with the Hoops on the lookout for Ange Postecoglou’s successor, former Hibernian midfielder and PLZ Football pundit McManus believes Moyes should make the move back to his homeland.

“Magnificent from West Ham. Davie Moyes should go to Celtic now in my opinion,” he wrote (Twitter, 7 June)
“Can’t do anymore at the hammers. Surely a fresh challenge at a bigger club awaits north of the border.”
Amazing
Moyes has given Hammers fans the best night of their lives. He gets to decide his next move. Yes, this season has been a struggle, but it’s vitally important to remember where West Ham have historically been. They aren’t a top-six club. The only reason they’ve been near the top of the league during the last three seasons is their boss.
To some extent, Moyes has been a victim of his own success. This season, the fans almost expected a top-six finish, when, realistically, the Premier League is as hard as its ever been. West Ham’s focus on the Conference League has now been rewarded.

The club will play in the Europa League again next season and will be looking to right the wrongs of two years ago when they crashed out in the semi-final stage. Much has been made about Moyes’ long-term future and any decision he makes will be supported. Nevertheless, if he is to bow out, he’s left the Hammers at the very top.
