talkSPORT pundit claims Sebastien Haller is ‘sulking’ after West Ham loss v Liverpool

Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed that West Ham United forward Sebastien Haller may be “sulking” after limited minutes this season.

The Frenchman got his chance to start the Premier League clash with Liverpool on Saturday, with Michail Antonio injured.

Haller has suffered from injuries himself and struggled to make a massive impact in the 2-1 defeat at Anfield.

Agbonlahor suggested that the Irons style isn’t the best for Haller, something which could have affected his confidence in the final third.

“Maybe it’s the way West Ham are playing doesn’t suit him,” he told talkSPORT, via Claret and Hugh.

“I feel like it’s confidence as well. If he can get a couple of goals then he could get better and better. Even against Liverpool, he probably isn’t up for the game as much because he knows that he is only playing because Antonio is injured.

“That can have an effect on a player sometimes. He’s probably sulking a bit because he hasn’t played.”

Haller may be sulking, but he can have no complaints about his game time under David Moyes this season.

Antonio has been superb in the final third and has caused massive problems for every opposing team, as well as finding the back of the net regularly.

Comparing Haller to Antonio, it is clear to see why the Frenchman has been on the bench.

Antonio has averaged more shots on goal, key passes and completed more dribbles according to WhoScored – something which sees him attract more fouls.

The 30-year-old is also better defensively and suits what Moyes is trying to achieve at the London Stadium, and he is also producing results, something Haller has failed to do.
