West Ham

Strong start

The Hammers have every chance of a very positive final place in the table after their impressive start to the new campaign.

It began somewhat disappointingly with a 1-1 draw against Bournemouth, but the East London club quickly got into gear, defeating Chelsea, Brighton and Luton Town.

Defeats against powerhouses Manchester City and Liverpool followed, but the Hammers have since recovered with a win against Sheffield United and an impressive draw against Newcastle United.

The task now for the manager and his talented squad is keeping up their form for the entire campaign, which is no mean feat.

Making the task harder is the fact that the club must also try and successfully compete in other competitions, namely the Europa League, where they have won both of their group stage matches so far.

The London Stadium outfit are also into the League Cup round of 16, where they will meet Arsenal, with their FA Cup journey not yet underway.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers are in the hunt to sign one Bundesliga ace, with £35million needed to seal the transfer.
