Super Computer predicts if West Ham will qualify for the Champions League

West Ham are predicted to finish outside the Premier League top four this season after their 1-1 draw against Newcastle on Saturday.

In a game that David Moyes’ men should’ve won, they ended up dropping two points on a weekend where Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal both won their games.

Spurs beat Manchester City while the Gunners made easy work of newly-promoted Brentford.

Despite their early season form, the Hammers are predicted to finish in seventh place come May.

According to FiveThirtyEight’s Super Computer, they will finish with 57 points – on par with Wolves.

Aim higher

Dropping points against teams like Newcastle should not be an option but the Hammers have done that at crucial points this season.

They’ve managed to humble clubs fighting for the league title but fail to get the job done against relegation candidates.

Complacency could have kicked into this side as they are on course to seal back to back European qualification for the first time in decades.

West Ham

However, Champions League was the aim at the start of the season and Moyes will be disappointed if he doesn’t finish in the top six at least.

He has also been let down by the West Ham board as they did not make any new signings in the January transfer window.

This squad is not deep enough to face off against the big six and Moyes is well aware of that fact.
