Steve McManaman gives his take on Jarrod Bowen to Liverpool transfer link
West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen has been enjoying a superb 2021-22 campaign and has been frequently linked with a move to Liverpool.
Earlier this month, Goal reported that Liverpool, who really wanted Bowen in the summer, could reignite their interest in January.
Jurgen Klopp is a big admirer of the versatile attacker, and the German has recently said that he likes him a lot.

Steve McManaman has suggested that Bowen should stay at West Ham, and while the links to Liverpool are flattering, the Reds don’t need him at the moment.
The BT Sport pundit feels that it could be a “great move” for him in terms of playing for Liverpool, but he won’t be a guaranteed starter at the Merseyside club.
“He’s a very good player. He’s doing really well at the moment,” McManaman told Horseracing.net.
“But hypothetically, if he signed for Liverpool tomorrow, then he wouldn’t play. So, I don’t see the point of it at the minute.
“It could be a great move for him in terms of playing for Liverpool but he’s not going to get in ahead of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mané or Diogo Jota. It’s always nice to have lots of players and I’m sure the manager would prefer to have 25 established internationals, but that’s not football.
“Bowen is playing really well at the moment for a club who are in the Champions League positions. Liverpool at the moment don’t need Jarrod Bowen.”
No rush
Bowen has managed three goals and five assists so far in all competitions this season.
He has earned rave reviews from his manager and pundits, with Ian Wright hailing him as a “sensational” player, earlier this month.

West Ham are under no pressure to sell him, with Goal reporting that the Hammers could ask for a fee in the region of £40m for him.
Bowen was super during West Ham’s 3-2 victory against Liverpool prior to the international break. He provided the assist for Pablo Fornals and rightly earned praise from Klopp after the game.
Recently, David Moyes showered praise on Bowen, saying he should be in the England set-up.
Bowen is yet to hit the dizzy heights that we all expect him to reach, but signs are very positive. He is a key player for the club, and we shouldn’t entertain any offers (if there’s any) at all for him.
