Stan Collymore predicts scoreline of West Ham United clash v Tottenham Hotspur

West Ham will face London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday (19 February) away from home and Stan Collymore feels that the Hammers will have to wait for their next win.

Spurs suffered a 4-1 loss in their previous Premier League game against Leicester City, but Collymore, writing for The Sunday People (page 58, 19 February), expects them to bounce back from the “disaster” and pick up a 2-1 win against the Hammers.

David Moyes’ side are undefeated in their last four games in all competitions and are heading into this match on the back of a 1-1 draw against Chelsea.

“I fancy Harry Kane to kickstart his scoring after last weekend’s disaster at Leicester,” wrote Collymore.

Tight

Spurs have lost two games in a row, and they will be looking to avoid a defeat. On the other hand, West Ham have played well against Newcastle and Chelsea, and they should feel confident about their approach.

The key here will be the team selection and how Moyes approaches this game. Lucas Paqueta is out injured and Tomas Soucek is expected to replace him. Will that make a big difference to the side?

Moyes also needs to make a decision on Danny Ings. The striker was signed from Aston Villa in the January window but he is yet to score for his new club. He was out injured but has played cameo roles in the last two games.

West Ham

Should Moyes start with him if he is fully fit or bring him from the bench? With Everton winning against Leeds on Saturday (18 February), this becomes a must-win game for the Hammers.

Harry Kane will be a major threat, no doubt, but the Hammers must approach this game with the mindset to grab all three points.
