Southampton could blow West Ham United out of water as Armando Broja wants to sort future this month

West Ham have been at the “front of the queue” to sign Armando Broja, but Southampton are now reportedly confident of landing the striker.

According to a report from The Chronicle on 7 July, a host of clubs including Newcastle and Everton are vying for his signature. The likes of AC Milan, Napoli and Atalanta have also enquired about his signature.

Broja has no intention of leaving the Blues on loan, and he would be prepared to leave Stamford Bridge permanently if he doesn’t feature in Thomas Tuchel’s plans.

Chelsea’s new owner Todd Boehly has held talks with the player this week, while Broja wants assurances over his future before the end of the month.

Get it done

The Hammers cannot ignore the importance of signing a striker this window.

David Moyes’s side have done some fantastic business so far, but they must sign a new striker before the end of the window.

The 20-year-old would be perfect for the club. He has got Premier League experience and is capable of leading the line. In that way, Moyes can use him as a reliable option alongside Michail Antonio.

West Ham

He has got age on his side to take his career to the next level, and the Hammers can reap the best years out of him.

While Newcastle and Southampton are looking to sign him permanently, the Hammers must do the same. He ticks a lot of boxes, and the saga could go on for a while.

The young striker would love to move to a club where he would be getting regular games, and this is where West Ham can lure him away.
