Southampton £15m bid rejected for West Ham United target Terem Moffi
Southampton have had a £15million bid rejected for West Ham United transfer target Terem Moffi, according to the Mail on Sunday.
The Daily Mail (13 January, page 72) suggested the Hammers were potentially priced out of a move for the 23-year-old Nigerian international.
However, it’s understood they have made an enquiry for the striker, who has also been the subject of strong interest from the Saints (Mail on Sunday, pg 109, 15 January).

West Ham are also believed to be interested in Moffi’s teammate, Dango Ouattarra, who has been heavily linked with Bournemouth.
Put it in the net
A striker wasn’t a the top of the agenda for the Hammers at the start of the January window. However, considering the lack of goals in David Moyes’ side has become a pressing concern, with the 1-0 defeat to Wolves yet more evidence to suggest a proven goalscorer should come through the door at the London Stadium.
Michail Antonio struggled at Molineux and Gianluca Scamacca has been inconsistent since his arrival. There’s certainly a player in the Italian but unfortunately, we haven’t seen anywhere near enough consistency from the forward.

The reality for West Ham is that they’re currently in a relegation battle and something simply has to change if they want to climb away from the bottom three. Fingers will be pointed at Moyes, but there are also areas of his squad which are still well below what is required.
The board have been firm supporters of the West Ham boss, but surely their patience is now growing quite thin when it comes to his position at the club?
