Sources share Mohammed Kudus to West Ham United transfer news – Sky Sports

West Ham remain in talks with Dutch side Ajax over the signing of attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus, according to Dharmesh Sheth.

The Sky Sports reporter provided an update via Twitter (16 August), sharing that the two clubs remain locked in talks over the signing of the 23-year-old.

One source has shared with Sheth that West Ham are getting encouragement that the Ghana international is open to a move to the London Stadium.

Encouraging

This could become a very important move for David Moyes and his squad if Lucas Paqueta does end up leaving the club for Manchester City this summer, with those links currently showing no signs of letting up.

Paqueta offers an attacking threat from midfield for the Hammers and Kudus could therefore act as a like-for-like replacement in the case that the Brazil international does make the switch.

West Ham United

And it would by no means be a downgrade if Kudus was to replace Paqueta in Moyes’ midfield during the upcoming campaign. The 23-year-old scored 11 goals and provided three assists in his 30 league appearances for Ajax last season, and at his young age still has plenty of room and time to develop.

This is certainly a transfer to keep an eye on but things will need to progress soon. With deadline day now just a matter of weeks away, time is against the Hammers to get their business done and dusted.

In other West Ham news, the club are in talks to hijack their Premier League rivals’ pursuit of an attacking player.
