Soucek in process of finding new home due to West Ham fans
Tomas Soucek is searching for a new home due to West Ham fans regularly turning up at his house, according to The Athletic.
Soucek, 26, has become a real fan favourite among the Irons faithful but his popularity has led to the Czech midfielder wanting to relocate with his wife Natalie and two-year-old daughter Tereza.
It is understood that with fans turning up to his house for photo opportunities on regular occasions, he and his family are now looking for an apartment.
As long as it’s still in East London…
Soucek’s form at West Ham has rather expectedly led to speculation surrounding his future at the East London club.
The Athletic reported last month that Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain had grown interested in the Czech Republic international, who’s scored nine goals in 34 Premier League appearances this season.
Soucek’s insane ability in the air is undoubtedly his biggest selling point with the ex-Slavia Prague man regularly winning aerial duels for the Irons and also being a major threat in the penalty area at both ends of the pitch.
According to stats by Wyscout, no player in Europe’s top-five leagues has won more aerial duels than Soucek this season [386].
He’s also joint-first in the Premier League for aerial duels won inside his own penalty area [44] and is joint-ninth for headed shots at goal [19].
Soucek is a beast in the air and West Ham are very lucky to have him.
But it’s probably a bit inappropriate for fans to be turning up at his house.
While we love Soucek the Super Czech and we cannot see him in person on matchday (for now), it’s a tad too far to be turning up at his house for photos and autographs.
Please, give him and his family some respect and some privacy.
In other West Ham news, the Irons are on a transfer mission to sign this goal machine who scored four times last weekend.
