Sky Sports share breaking update on Julen Lopetegui ahead of West Ham v Wolves
Julen Lopetegui is planning to be in the dugout for the game between West Ham United and Wolves on Monday, according to Sky Sports.
The Spaniard’s future is in doubt after the 3-1 loss to Leicester City on Tuesday [3 December], but he is confident of turning things around at the London Stadium, presenter Nick Powell revealed live on air [5 December, 2:55pm].
Lopetegui will now hope to convince the Hammers hierarchy that he is the man to take the club forward.
“Some breaking news to bring you, regarding West Ham. We’re now told Julen Lopetegui believes he can improve the club’s situation and is planning to be in charge against Wolves on Monday”, Powell said.

The report is already being corroborated by other sources, with Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail claiming via X that Lopetegui will be in charge of the Irons against Wolves.
There have been shouts for the former Sevilla manager to be sacked as the East London outfit sit 14th in the Premier League, just six points above the relegation zone.
However, the West Ham hierarchy have seemingly decided to give him another chance, with 19th-placed Wolves there for the taking.
This is despite the Hammers being heavily linked with several managers, including Graham Potter, who has already been contacted, according to Jim White on talkSPORT.

Potter is also of interest to Wolves, who are considering sacking Gary O’Neil after receiving a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Everton on Wednesday [4 December].
Both those managers could now be fighting for their jobs when they lock horns with each other in East London on Monday.
In other West Ham news, the Irons are interested in this midfielder after a new £50million transfer update dropped.
