Sky Sports pundit predicts result of Liverpool v West Ham mid-week Premier League clash
Dion Dublin believes that Liverpool can and will get the job done against West Ham on Wednesday if they play as well as they did in Sunday’s clash over Manchester City.
The Reds beat the defending champions 1-0 and despite not dominating possession, it could be argued that they had their best game of the season.
Next, they face a test against the Hammers who have also started the season slowly but look to finish in the European places.
Speaking on the Premier League Weekend Roundup, (17/10, 13:56), Dublin, a Sky Sports pundit said, “Liverpool need just to do what they do. Get team performances right and they’re winning it [the game v West Ham].”
Tough one
Liverpool were on a decline and had they not beaten City, they would still be on a low going into this clash.
However, the mood inside Anfield has changed and they now seem to have that mojo about them again which will only be bad for West Ham.
They did not do enough to beat Southampton and will surely face a long-drawn battle against Jurgen Klopp’s side in midweek.
David Moyes will have to come up with some kind of a plan to contain Liverpool as he has in the past and it will be interesting to see what he does.
However, what the Scotsman does in these kinds of games is sit back and let the game come to them and this is likely to happen again.
On the break, the likes of Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen will give the side a chance to score a goal so we won’t be surprised if the Jamaican starts.
