Sky Sports footage emerges of Jarrod Bowen in West Ham United training ahead of Bayer Leverkusen clash

West Ham United have been handed a major boost ahead of their Europa League clash with Bayer Leverkusen after Jarrod Bowen returned to training.

In new footage aired by Sky Sports News (17 April), the England international can be seen taking part in full Hammers training ahead of the second-leg clash with the newly-crowned Bundesliga champions on Thursday (18 April).

Bowen had been considered a major doubt with a back injury, but reports on Tuesday (16 April) suggested David Moyes would give him until “the last minute” to prove his fitness for the game.

West Ham United get major Jarrod Bowen boost

David Moyes is already going to be without key players Emerson Palmieri and Lucas Paqueta for the second-leg clash, with both players suspended for an accumulation of yellow cards.

With the team 2-0 down from the first leg in Germany, the Hammers need to find a solution to get back into the tie and keep their European hopes alive.

Bowen missed the first game with an injury he picked up in the Premier League and had been expected to miss a couple of weeks, but he is clearly pushing hard to get back into contention to help the squad.

West Ham know that there isn’t much left to play for in the Premier League with European qualification seemingly unlikely via a league finish, and Moyes could well be leaving at the end of the season.

This is essentially the last chance to keep the season alive, so Bowen wants in and the manager will surely use him to have a genuine goal threat on the pitch.

In other West Ham news, members of the Hammers hierarchy have told David Sullivan to sack Moyes with replacements lined up.
