Sky Sports brutally mock West Ham in live coverage of Liverpool draw vs Sunderland
West Ham are starting to become one of the laughing stocks of the Premier League.
Ahead of West Ham’s encounter with Man United on Thursday, the Irosn are three points away from safety, with Leeds having won at home to Chelsea.
Relegation is a serious concern for West Ham, who, aside from a respectable three-game run recently, have been dreadful this season and have been deserving of the criticism faced.
Even Sky Sports have been making fun of their situation, with a remark made during Liverpool’s clash with Sunderland on Wednesday.

West Ham slammed for Liverpool display
Sunderland battled to earn a point away to Liverpool at Anfield, and had it not been for a late miss from Wilson Isidor, they could have easily taken all three points off the reigning Premier League champions.
That result came off the back of Liverpool’s 2-0 win over West Ham, where they never really had to get out of first gear to inflict damage to the Hammers.
Alexander Isak scored his first goal for the Reds against the Irons, while Cody Gakpo also notched in the 82nd minute to seal the win.
However, West Ham’s defeat was used as a reflection point to dissect Liverpool’s performance against Sunderland.
Via the live coverage on Sky Sports, it reads: “Well, it turns out West Ham are just really bad.
“All the promise of Liverpool’s win there on Sunday has evaporated back at Anfield. Sunderland have been brave and bold, finding it easy to break through the Liverpool press.
“There’s been no quality either from the Reds, who haven’t any real clear-cut chances.”
What did Sunderland do that West Ham didn’t?
First and foremost, Sunderland scored.
West Ham failed to register a single shot on target against Liverpool, showcasing the struggles they have had in front of goal all season.
The Black Cats utilised a back five out of possession, and their desire to throw their bodies on the line was evident from the first minute, which, again, West Ham failed to do.
The Hammers were carved open far too easily in transition, and a lot of that is down to the fact that they wanted to play with the ball against a side that thrives off that.
Sunderland were happy to sit deep and hit the Reds on the counter, and when that failed, they made sure they won the ball back quickly, or at least forced them into an error.
West Ham need to show some great improvement against the top sides; otherwise, a season in the Championship is on the cards.
