Six West Ham United matches already set to be moved in confirmed news

Six West Ham Premier League matches for next season are already subject to change due to the club’s participation in Europe.

The update comes as the Hammers are set to take part in next season’s Europa League group stage, having just clinched the Europa Conference League trophy.

The Premier League released the official fixtures for the new season on Thursday (15 June), with West Ham opening the campaign away to Bournemouth.

“Supporters should note that all Premier League fixtures are subject to change,” according to the official West Ham website.

“In addition, our home games against Newcastle United, Everton, Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers, and our away game at Liverpool are subject to movement on those weekends due to our participation in UEFA Europa League group stage fixtures on the preceding Thursdays.”

Exciting times

West Ham could have very easily missed out on this exciting news surrounding their Premier League fixtures for next season, with the club dangerously close to dropping down to the Championship at one point in the recent campaign.

Moreover, the fixture changes would not be an issue if the Hammers had not clinched the Europa Conference League trophy with their win against Fiorentina in Prague earlier this month.

But that is hardly an issue for the East London outfit, with supporters still absolutely buzzing after their unforgettable European success in the Czech capital.

In a short space of time, the Hammers went from a relegation battle to securing their league safety and becoming European champions in such a short space of time, with manager David Moyes deserving plenty of credit for the club’s upturn in fortunes.

It remains to be seen if the manager will be the one overseeing the club next season, but he will go down in history no matter what after this season’s turn of events.
