Simon Jordan responds to Martin Keown live on talkSPORT as West Ham United v Newcastle verdict drops
TalkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan doesn’t believe Newcastle will fear West Ham United ahead of their crucial Premier League clash on Wednesday [5 April].
The Hammers will be looking to build on Sunday’s [2 April] 1-0 win over Southampton at the London Stadium in their quest to steer clear of the drop zone when they welcome the Magpies fresh from their 2-0 win over Manchester United.
And Jordan, speaking live on talkSPORT [03 April, 11:26] argues that the Tyneside outfit won’t fear David Moyes’ men after their impressive campaign this season.

“Is West Ham away a tough game? I really think it is,” Martin Keown said. [03 April, 11:26]
However, Jordan disagreed stating: “Neither of these teams will they fear, so shouldn’t they.”
True
Considering Newcastle’s tremendous upward trajectory this season, and the confidence they have just garnered after comfortably beating Manchester United on Sunday [2 April], Jordan is absolutely right, Eddie Howe’s men will have nothing to fear when they face off on Wednesday evening.
In fact, it is West Ham United who should be fearing the might of Newcastle and they would certainly be wishing it was them sitting pretty in the top four rather than facing a needless relegation dogfight.

The Hammers were supposed to be the team everybody was routing for to break into the top four spots after their successes over the last two campaigns both domestically and in Europe, but they’ve disappointed and flattered to deceive this season, after spending a mammoth £165m over the summer [The Athletic, 1 September].
Possessing the likes of Lucas Paqueta and Gianluca Scamacca who were supposed to considerably add to the quality already at their disposal, and finding themselves in a relegation battle really isn’t good enough and Moyes and his players will certainly have to take a lot of the flack.
The club face arguably the most crucial upcoming weeks in their top-flight history, and they must be up for a tough battle on Wednesday.
