Simon Jordan disagrees with David Moyes’ £100m+ Declan Rice claim as Manchester City move mooted
Simon Jordan remains adamant that West Ham would cash in on Declan Rice for £100million despite recent protestations.
Rice, 22, has been heavily linked with Champions League clubs like Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea, and David Moyes recently proclaimed that the £100m price tag in the summer was now significantly more [Sky Sports].
But Jordan suggests GSB would take the decision out of Moyes’ hands after Jim White asked on talkSPORT [10/11/21] if the “hierarchy” would “buckle” if a bid of £100million was made.

“Yeah I think they would,” Jordan replied.
“He would be a wonderful addition for Manchester United because he would give them something they’ve not had for some time, but I don’t think Manchester United deserve Declan Rice. I think West Ham have earned the right to have him for a period of time and he should also remember that because West Ham have patronised him and brought him along.”
Ex-West Ham and Manchester City midfielder Trevor Sinclair replied: “Where have you got a better chance of picking up silverware? I said this when Cristiano Ronaldo went to Manchester United, if there was a choice between the two, there’s only one club you’re going to if you want to win things.
Jordan: “Oh Trevor, please. That’s not necessarily true, he could go to Chelsea, couldn’t he?”
Sinclair: “I think if Declan Rice had the opportunity, Fernandinho is not going to continue to play on, they will be looking for a replacement for a holding midfielder to compete with Rodri.”
White: “So you’re agitating for Declan to go to City?”
Sinclair: “Let’s make this clear, I want Declan Rice to stay at West Ham.”

Best served staying in East London
Speculation constantly swirls around Rice’s future – that’s the price West Ham have to pay for someone of his prodigious talents.
It’s a compliment that he is attracting such interest from elite-level clubs, but at the moment, does he need to seek a move elsewhere?
He’s proving himself as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and his Irons side are currently sat third in the league.
Manchester United, meanwhile, are in turmoil, and playing every single game would not be guaranteed at Manchester City and Chelsea who have the likes of Rodri and N’Golo Kante respectively.
On the subject of the Irons board, meanwhile, there would be uproar among fans if Rice was now sold for £100million or less, given comments made this year.
