Said Benrahma shines in 4-0 win – West Ham United player ratings v Norwich

West Ham romped to a 4-0 victory against bottom side Norwich City to maintain their slim hopes of Europa League qualification.

Two goals from Said Benrahma, one from Michail Antonio and a Manuel Lanzini penalty completed a comfortable afternoon’s work for David Moyes’ side.

West Ham currently sit six points off sixth-placed Manchester United, with two games in hand on the red devils.

West Ham

Here, West Ham Zone has rated the players out of ten for their performance against Norwich.

Lukasz Fabianski – 5

Despite keeping a clean sheet Fabianski didn’t look overly convincing, the keeper dropped a cross in the second half and was lucky Sam Byram’s goal was ruled out for handball.

Aaron Cresswell – 7

After his horrendous misjudgement in Germany, it was crucial for Cresswell to bounce back with a good performance against Norwich. The home side offered very little going forward, nevertheless, it was a competent performance from the left-back who didn’t look troubled.

Kurt Zouma – 6

Much like Cresswell, Zouma had very little to do, however, it looked like he had put the disappointment of Thursday behind him quickly. Solid display.

Craig Dawson – 6

Should’ve done better with a second half header, which he will be disappointed not to have scored. Good display in the largely untroubled West Ham defence. Went off injured, West Ham will hope it’s nothing serious.

Vladimir Coufal – 6

Another dependable display from the Czech. Didn’t have much of an influence going forward, which is a surprise considering his attacking ability. Will be pleased with the clean sheet.

Declan Rice – 6

Nothing spectacular from Rice today, but kept the game ticking over nicely in the Norfolk sunshine. Did what he had to do, and didn’t exert too much energy ahead of a crucial run-in.

Jarrod Bowen – 8

Another top-class performance from the winger. Two-assists in a dynamic display. 20 goals and assists for the season and simply has to be in Southgate’s England plans.

West Ham

Said Benrahma – 9

Great return to form for the Algerian, who has struggled for consistency this season. Two goals before going off injured will silence some of his critics. Needs to perform against better opposition.

Manuel Lanzini – 7

Nicely put away his second half penalty and looked assured when in possession. Needed a good performance after his poor display against Arsenal.

Pablo Fornals – 5

Considering the Hammers scored four goals it was a quiet display from the Spaniard. Didn’t get involved enough. Needs to get on the ball more and create. It’s what he’s in the team to do.

Michail Antonio – 5

Substituted at half-time after a quiet display. Still managed to get on the score sheet but not as influential as he would’ve hoped.

Substitutes

Andriy Yarmolenko (on for Antonio, ’45) – 5

Mark Noble (on for Dawson, ’67) – 6

Nikola Vlasic (on for Benrahma, ’76) – 5
