Said Benrahma not expected to be available for West Ham United v Manchester United

Said Benrahma is not expected to be available for West Ham United against Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.

Tom Clark has reported that despite Algeria crashing out of the African Cup of Nations, the attacker won’t be back in time.

After Thomas Partey featured for Arsenal against Liverpool on Thursday, there was hope that Benrahma could return.

West Ham

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Clark shared the latest on team news ahead of the trip to Old Trafford.

“Tomas Soucek and Kurt Zouma in contention for West Ham vs Manchester United,” he wrote.

“Said Benrahma not expected to be back in time.”

Not happening.

Benrahma would be a massive boost at Old Trafford.

The Irons were missing his flair and potential cutting edge against Leeds last weekend, with the final third an issue.

It was often on the shoulders of Declan Rice to make something happen with his driving runs, but the end product was missing.

Having Benrahma to make those darting runs could have made all the difference, and it looks as though we will be without them yet again.

David Moyes will need to come up with some sort of answers, with Tomas Soucek hopefully coming back into that midfield area.

Benrahma is on his way back, hopefully, sooner rather than later.
