Ryan Fredericks unlikely to return before international break
West Ham are expected to be without the services of Ryan Fredericks for their next two games, claims ExWHUemployee.
The right-back provided the assist for Manuel Lanzini’s winning goal in the Carabao Cup, but had to be withdrawn with less than 20 minutes played.
He missed the weekend’s win against Leeds United is not likely to be available for Rapid Wien or Brentford later this week.

He said on the West Ham Way podcast, “Fredericks went off in the Manchester United game. He had a thigh strain and there were worries about how serious this was going to be. But it appears not to be that serious.
“He won’t be fit for Thursday or for Brentford. They’ll save him for those two games and then when we come back from the international break, Everton away is the first game, and he will then be available for that one.”
Needs his recovery time
With the Hammers not signing a right-back in the summer, the 28-year-old remains the second choice to Vladimir Coufal.
However, Ben Johnson could step up to the task and prove to David Moyes that he is good enough to deputise in Coufal and Fredericks’ absence.

This would be beneficial for the club as they will not have to rush Fredericks back into action.
Often, players are asked to return earlier than expected and face further injury complications which rule them out for an even longer duration.
Right now, that’s not a problem area so the advice to Fredericks would probably be to ensure that he takes his time to recover.
After the international break, when games start to come thick and fast, he will be there for Moyes to call upon.
