Rory Jennings shares ‘difficult’ West Ham United transfer verdict after Declan Rice exit
It will be “so difficult” for West Ham United to sign new players this summer, according to talkSPORT pundit Rory Jennings.
The pundit explained how the club have a huge task on their hands in terms of summer signings due to their desperation and strong financial situation.
Jennings noted how the Hammers are “so rich” following the £105million sale of Declan Rice to Arsenal earlier this summer.

“Everybody knows that firstly, they desperately need players, and secondly, they are absolutely caked,” Jennings said live on talkSPORT.
“So as soon as they enquire for any player, what happens? The price goes through the roof, because West Ham are desperate for a player, and they are so rich.
“So I’m not surprised they haven’t signed anybody, because it must be so difficult to do business for them.”

Tricky situation
It really is a tricky situation that West Ham find themselves in, and unfortunately for David Moyes, it will only get harder as the transfer window draws to a close.
The new season is rapidly approaching, and while the Hammers have seemingly been linked with several Rice replacements and additions in other areas, they really haven’t made any concrete moves.
Youngster Sean Moore from Northern Irish club Cliftonville is the only arrival so far this summer, but even then, he is certain to be placed into the youth setup as opposed to the first-team.
Time is running out for Moyes to land, firstly someone to fill the gap left by Rice, and secondly players in other areas to help bolster the squad for what is certain to be a very tough season.
Not only are will the East London club want a much better Premier League finish this time around, but they also have to make the step up in Europe after securing a spot in the Europa League.
In other West Ham news, Carlton Cole has dismissed rumours regarding a Hammers exit for one player live on talkSPORT.
