Roma hopes revealed after meeting agents of West Ham United striker Gianluca Scamacca

Roma director Tiago Pinto has reportedly returned to Italy after meeting with the agents of West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca.

According to Corriere Dello Sport [17 June, Page 13], there is a positive feeling about the deal going through on the Roma side of things.

This comes despite the Hammers showing an unwillingness to sanction a loan exit this summer with a permanent deal the only one on the cards.

Two big exits?

If Scamacca leaves, it will be two high-profile departures from the London Stadium this summer with Declan Rice on his way out too.

The Englishman is wanted by Arsenal and Manchester City and the first offer has already been put on the table for him.

Much like Scamacca, there is more than one club interested in signing him so the Hammers are going to have to deal with multiple representatives.

West Ham United

With Rice, West Ham have accepted that he will be leaving but the same cannot be said about the Italian as they still want to retain his services.

However, given Roma’s interest and other clubs likely to join the fray, it’s going to be a challenge to keep him at the London Stadium.

They’ve already made it clear that a loan move is not an option so if there is to be a sale, the Hammers will ensure that they get the best deal possible.
