Roma chief Tiago Pinto in London to discuss West Ham ace Gianluca Scamacca, Serie A club must sell to buy
Roma general manager Tiago Pinto will be in London tonight to discuss the future of West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The publication noted that Italian giants Roma must sell players this summer if they want to complete further incomings after signing Evan Ndicka and Houssem Aouar from Eintracht Frankfurt and Lyon respectively.
Hammers forward Scamacca only made the move to East London from Serie A club Sassuolo last summer.

“The general manager of Roma, Tiago Pinto, will be in London today, Wednesday 14 June, and in the evening he will make various appointments for Scamacca and for any outings of the Giallorossi,” according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
“The Italian player, in fact, is on Roma’s list as far as attacking is concerned given the recent injury that hit Abraham on the last day of the championship against Spezia.
“The general manager of Roma, therefore, in addition to the various appointments regarding Scamacca, will have to evaluate the exits of the Giallorossi. In fact, the team, by June 30, will have to try to sell someone for the pre-established capital gains.”

Scamacca exit likely
Scamacca really hasn’t hit the heights expected of him following his high-profile move from Sassuolo last summer, with the Italian international enduring a stuttering start to life in England.
Injuries can largely be to blame for the West Ham striker struggling to find any consistency in claret and blue, but even when fresh and handed opportunities on the pitch, the striker didn’t exactly strike fear into his opponents.
He spent a period of his youth at Roma, so it’s a club that he knows well, and one that he could return to in order to find his feet ahead of some busy years for his national team, with Euro 2024 and the 2026 World Cup on the horizon.
The talks regarding the 24-year-old will probably last some time, but many Hammers supporters will not be too fussed if he does indeed make a swift exit from the London Stadium in the coming weeks.
