Robert Snodgrass sends brilliant Twitter message after West Ham win v Sevilla

West Ham secured a move to the quarter-finals of the Europa League after beating Sevilla on Thursday night (17 March).

Goals from Tomas Soucek and Andriy Yarmolenko meant the Hammers won 2-0 at home, and 2-1 in aggregate to reach the next round.

Many former players have shared their reactions after the win, and Robert Snodgrass has also delivered a fantastic message on Twitter after the final whistle.

The Luton Town winger wrote: “What a result! Congrats to you all.”

What a night!

The Hammers were always confident that they would score at home, with the home fans backing in full voice.

The atmosphere was electrifying throughout. When Soucek scored the opening goal to level the tie, the confidence started to flow among the players.

However, special games need special moments. Yarmolenko, who scored in the previous game against Aston Villa, came off the bench to strike the decisive blow in the 112th minute. It’s better than the Hollywood script.

David Moyes must be very proud of the effort from his players, and surely, they will feel that can go all the way to the finals.

Sevilla had the better possession but the Hammers were always in control of the game. They dictated the tempo and got crucial goals that made all the difference.

Declan Rice was simply outstanding in the middle of the park, but it was a complete team effort. Overall, this is one of those games that will be etched in the memory of Hammers fans for a long time.
