Robbie Savage singles out West Ham boss David Moyes as Manager of the Year
Robbie Savage has been left stunned by David Moyes at West Ham, labelling him as his Manager of the Year over the past season.
West Ham look rejuvenated under Moyes, beating Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United already this season (to name a few).
The Scotsman’s side are not only fifth in the Premier League table, only one point behind fourth-place Arsenal – they have reached the last 16 of the Europa League as well as the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup.

Speaking on William Hill’s Three of the Best as shared on Twitter, Savage singled out the Irons gaffer above the world’s best.
“The person I’m going to go for, though, is David Moyes,”
“For him to get European football with West Ham last season, and now to continue that this season is remarkable.
“So, I’m going to give it to David Moyes, a few people may say they haven’t won anything, but to get that group of players into Europe and now this season, with the form in Europe, I’m giving it to David Moyes.”
Winner.
Moyes has really turned his career around after several unsuccessful spells at clubs, most notably when he departed as West Ham manager in 2018 after an abysmal six months in charge.
It was a shock move when he was reappointed by the Hammers board but one that has so far paid off with the team becoming a competitive monster – enjoying his best points per matches tally (1.62) only second to his spell at Manchester United (1.73).
Moyes has completely changed the atmosphere amongst the players and fans as he himself finds a new lease of life as a manager.
Transforming the cockney boys from relegation avoiders to European warriors is surely down as his best work throughout his career and no one would argue with him picking up awards.
