Richard Keys thrilled by ‘Genius’ West Ham United headline after Brentford defeat

Richard Keys has enjoyed a massive laugh at the expense of West Ham United after their 2-0 defeat against Brentford.

The Mirror poked fun at David Moyes and his side after the London derby that all but ends any hopes of Champions League football again.

Keys insisted that the headline writer deserved a pay rise for his “genius” piece of work this morning.

Writing on his personal Twitter account this afternoon [11 April], Keys loved a laugh at the expense of the Hammers.

“Genius headline,” he wrote.

“Give that person a pay rise.”

Rain it in.

Keys is one of those who come out of the woodwork every now and then just to rub salt into the wounds.

His original ideas often sink as quickly as they appear, so sharing this with as many as he can will be his contribution.

From a West Ham point of view, at least this takes the pressure off in the Premier League and leaves us fully focussed on Europe.

Of course, losing games isn’t what we want, but if it means it makes people forget about putting us in that so-called top-four race, then so be it.

Now all eyes are on Lyon, and what a huge achievement it would be to beat them and reach the semi-finals of the Europa League.

We wonder if Keys will share the headlines on Friday morning should we leave France with another memorable European victory, we think not.
