Richard Keys stunned by West Ham United star Declan Rice, £150million is bargain

Richard Keys has been left stunned by West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice once again during the international break.

The controversial pundit has admitted that whoever spends £150million on the Irons mainstay will be getting a bargain.

Rice may well be expected to start for England this evening against the Ivory Coast after starting on the bench in the 2-1 win over Switzerland.

Writing in his latest blog on his own website, Keys singled out the Hammers skipper for all of the praise this week.

“Declan Rice gets better and better,” he wrote.

“I’ve no idea where he’ll end up, but whoever buys him will be getting a bargain at £150m.”

Cashing in.

If we were GSB right now, we would be doing everything we can to tie Rice down to a new deal, and we mean everything.

The midfielder deserves to be the highest earner at the London Stadium by some distance, so why aren’t we making that happen?

Especially after a transfer window of spending nothing once again, Daniel Kretinsky could even make it happen alone with his investment.

Instead, we are flaunting around this pricetag that only says come and get him, something we will live to regret in the summer.

£150million or not, it is hard to see who would come in and make the same impact on this team as Rice does throughout a season in all competitions.

Keys is spot on here, that is a bargain and someone will no doubt come knocking in the summer, but at least GSB will be there to open the door and snatch their hands off.
