Report: West Ham still interested in signing Youssef En-Nesyri
According to a report in The Daily Star, West Ham retain an interest in Sevilla forward Youssef En-Nesyri after having tried to sign him in January.
The Hammers were looking for a striker after Sebastien Haller’s departure, and the towering Sevilla target man was seen as an option by David Moyes’ men.
However, the move did not materialise, and West Ham ended the window without signing a striker and relied on the injury-prone Michail Antonio to lead the line until the end of the season.

If the Star report in their print edition (June 20, page 43) is to be believed, Wolves are also keen on the player and are willing to table a £35 million bid for the Sevilla striker.
Last month, Sevilla ABC reported that the 24-year-old is happy with life at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium, but an offer of that magnitude could convince the Spanish club into letting go of their top attacking threat.
Tad expensive
En-Nesyri is a solid striker who’s got age on his side and has already proven himself to be a lethal custodian in one of Europe’s top five leagues.
Despite playing for a Sevilla side that is a few grades weaker than the Spanish big three, the Moroccan has shown that he’s got a killer goal-scoring instinct and could help carry his team when the chips are down.

Due to his height, he offers a potent aerial threat and is often deployed as a target man against sides that play with a low block.
The Premier League has quite a few teams that don’t like pressing too high and prefer letting the opposition have the ball.
The Sevilla striker is perfect to play in these situations as not only will he be the favourite to win the aerial duels, but he can also run the channels and help stretch defenders that are marking him out of position.
However, if Wolves are prepared to shell out 35 million for his services, that almost rules us out of the race.
We can offer the player European football, but the first hurdle would be matching his valuation and we’re unlikely to be getting into a bidding war with Wolves.
