Report: West Ham get Saturday injury boost

West Ham United haven’t had the best injury luck this season. From Lukasz Fabianski to Andriy Yarmolenko, it’s been a struggle.

However, there may actually been some good news on the injury front around the corner, although not for Fabianski, unfortunately.

Saturday’s game against Everton is a pivotal opportunity for new boss David Moyes to bounce back from his first defeat back at the club against Sheffield United last time out.

And the Scot is likely to have a key man available for the London Stadium clash. Claret & Hugh reported on Wednesday that playmaker Felipe Anderson is set to be ready to go against the Toffees.

The Brazilian picked up a small knock against the Blades, but is said to have recovered perfectly from the back problem and has been in full training all week.

On on the other hand, versatile attacker Michail Antonio has been training alone and is considered no better than 50/50 to face the Blues.

Should Moyes risk Antonio?

The obvious answer would be no. There’s no real reason too, particularly with this being a problem that’s shown no sign of improvement recently.

Moyes does have other options in the final third, but nobody who links up with club record signing Sebastien Haller as effectively as Antonio.

However, the Scot needs to manage this one carefully, because Antonio’s season has been injury-riddled thus far. Best to leave him out for this one, surely.
