Report: West Ham could sign PL striker this month
West Ham United have really struggled up front this season. Whether it’s been the system or the personnel, it’s simply not gone right for them.
Club record signing Sebastien Haller has failed to hit the heights he scaled at previous club Eintracht Frankfurt, while Albian Ajeti has struggled as well.
So no-one would be surprised if the Hammers made a new signing in that area of the pitch this month.
Indeed, Football Insider reported on Monday that sources believe the east London outfit could reignite their interest in Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud during this window.

The Irons are thought to have a long-held interest in the French international, while the Blues are ready to let him leave on loan this month to boost his Euro 2020 hopes.
West Ham are said to view Giroud as a like-for-like replacement for Andy Carroll, who left the club last summer.
Is now the time to move for Giroud?
It’s really hard to say, and the answer probably depends on whether you still have faith in Haller. If you do, then you’d probably be looking for someone to play alongside him, whereas Giroud is more of a like-for-like replacement.
Clearly nobody fancies Ajeti in east London, and so a pacy striker to make runs off Haller is what’s required. Giroud certainly isn’t that.
However, if David Moyes has major doubts over the Irons’ club record signing then he may well sanction a swoop for the Chelsea star.
In other West Ham news, Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas has been left blown away by two Hammers stars.
