Report shares how many positions West Ham wish to strengthen in January
West Ham United are expecting a late transfer blizzard of arrivals this month, according to Football Insider.
It is suggested that many other fresh faces are expected to arrive at the London Stadium after the Hammers confirmed the signing of Darren Randolph recently.
According to the report, West Ham are planning to recruit in three other key positions this month to strengthen David Moyes options in East London.
It is reported that West Ham are confident of securing yet another central midfielder this month – something that has quickly become their priority.
That is no surprise. Declan Rice and Mark Noble are the Irons’ main two options, and with Carlos Sanchez and Jack Wilshere in no position to consistently perform, a gap has arisen.
Robert Snodgrass has performed well in a central role at times this season, but the Scotsman is much more at home out wide.
The Irons could also bring in another forward. Moyes has put faith in Sebastien Haller, and although Michail Antonio has impressed – he also has injury problems.
Albian Ajeti is still at the club, but everyone would agree that has become a failed experiment. The Swiss international hasn’t found the back of the net and is slowly proving that he isn’t good enough for the Premier League.
