Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti wants to sign West Ham ace Declan Rice

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti reportedly wants to sign West Ham midfielder Declan Rice in the summer.

According to Sky Sports journalist Gianluca di Marzio, the England international is admired by the Italian manager.

However, he believes that he does not know Real’s strategy in the summer and is unsure whether or not an official bid will be tabled for the 23-year-old.

Speaking to Wett Freunde, Di Marzio said, “I know Carlo Ancelotti is a fan of Declan Rice. So he could be a good fit for Real. But I don’t know if Real will make an offer for him.

“If Rice is available, Ancelotti is sure to be there. But I have no idea what strategy the Royals are pursuing, which players are staying or going.”

This will certainly leave David Moyes on edge as he would have to fend off interest from another top club.

Already, the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are circling around Rice.

Should the Hammers fail to show progress from last season, there’s a good chance that the midfielder asks to leave.

Real Madrid may be a hard option to turn down and Rice could force a move there over a move to one of the Premier League’s top clubs.

It remains to be seen if Moyes can tempt him to stay, but it appears that he’s fighting a losing battle.
