A deal between Real Betis and West Ham has been verbally agreed for the signing of Pablo Fornals on Deadline Day, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist reported via X [1 February] that a deal has been agreed for Betis to pay a £5.2million fixed fee plus £3.4million in add-ons, accompanied by his famous "here we go" tagline.

It is understood that the Spanish club are ready to complete documents before the deal is finalised ahead of the closure of the transfer window at 11 pm.

Need reinforcements

It was only a matter of time until Fornals agreed a move away from London Stadium. However, it will be a big blow if West Ham are unable to replace the Spaniard before the transfer window closes.

It also seems like Said Benrahma's move to Lyon is imminent, which would leave David Moyes' side skint for wingers, other than Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus.

Linking back up with Manuel Pellegrini, who brought him to the club during his 18-month tenure, the winger has earned the right to move away from West Ham after his several years of service at the club.

West Ham

With limited minutes on the pitch this season, it is understandable that he is excited about a new challenge with a previous manager winning him over. It could be bad news for the Hammers, though, with limited reinforcements at the club.

West Ham are looking evermore unlikely to sign a new winger during the current window, despite their best efforts to sign Ibrahim Osman and Jota.
