Queens Park Rangers hand trial to West Ham talent Sean Adarkwa
Queens Park Rangers are targeting a move for West Ham United forward Sean Adarkwa after yet another poor Championship campaign.
West London Sport have reported that the Hoops are handing the 20-year-old a trial at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium this season.
Adarkwa’s current deal at the London Stadium is set to expire at the end of this season, having made no senior appearances under his name.
With little chance of Adarkwa featuring in the first team, it appears as though he could be thrown through the exit door.
There has been no better chance than this season to make your name as an attacking option with injuries ravaging through the squad.
After Sebastien Haller left in January, Michail Antonio has picked up injuries and there have been no other senior options in the squad.
Mipo Odubeko has been the closest to getting action in the Premier League, but even he hasn’t been thrown in the big time.
Adarkwa will be looking at that, knowing that a new striker will likely be arriving over the summer and that his chances will be even slimmer.
The 20-year-old will be leaving one way or another it seems, with the Irons unlikely to let someone leave on trial if he had a future at the club.
Rising Hammers have described the striker as a “future star” on their YouTube clips, but it appears as though another club will get that talent.
We can’t lie and say this would be a massive blow, but we do wish all the luck to Adarkwa should he impress and complete this move across London.
