PSV Eindhoven set for big windfall as West Ham United edge close to signing Gianluca Scamacca
West Ham are close to signing Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca this summer, and it could benefit Dutch club PSV Eindhoven.
Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali has confirmed that they have reached an agreement for the Italy striker.
As per the club chief, a fee in the region of £30.6 million has been agreed, while there will be £5 million add-ons and a further 10 per cent sell-on clause on the deal.
Should the transfer go through, Scamacca’s former club, PSV will receive around £3.4m as per Dutch journalist, Rik Elfrink.
The Eindhovens Dagblad journalist reported on Twitter that at the time when he was transferred, no one really hoped that he would become such a success.
He wrote: “It seems to be happening, a transfer from Gianluca Scamacca to West Ham. A big blow to the arm, but it looks like PSV will collect at least around 4 million euros for this. This would be money found, because no one really counted on this in 2017.
Massive
You need to pinch yourself to believe that West Ham are finally signing a striker.
The Hammers failed to sign a striker in their last three transfer windows, but it became a priority for them to land one.
They have relied heavily on Michail Antonio, but the Hammers can’t go on a complete season with him alone. The club need a supporting striker.

The Hammers were heavily linked with a move for Chelsea striker Armando Broja but it seems they have given up on him. They have moved for Scamacca and he looks like a cracking signing for the club.
Scamacca is a top-quality talent whose best years are ahead of him. He is a fantastic goalscorer and the Hammers have done exceedingly well to get his signature.
It seems the deal is all but done. David Moyes should now look to add a new midfielder and possibly another attacking midfielder.
