PSG defender Thilo Kehrer starts following West Ham on Instagram after fee agreement

Thilo Kehrer has been spotted following West Ham on social media after PSG reportedly found a fee agreement with them.

The defender has been on the Hammers’ radar for the past few weeks and have now agreed £10.1million deal to sign him in the coming days.

The club expected to register him in time for their UEFA Conference League qualifier against Viborg on August 18 so it remains to be seen if the move is completed in time.

However, after glancing at Kehrer’s Instagram, the official West Ham handle is one of 573 accounts that he’s been spotted following along with their keeper and former teammate Alphonse Areola.

All set?

This seems to be a very clear indicator that he’s headed to the London Stadium, if the move was ever in doubt.

The Hammers have pursued his services wholeheartedly since Nayef Aguerd suffered an injury that’s going to keep him out for a while.

Signing someone like Kehrer also gives David Moyes an option to deploy a back three when he has all his defenders fit.

The German is also capable of playing as a right-back as well as a left-back so he’s a utility player who’s going to make every matchday squad if he’s fit.

It’s good to see West Ham going about their business seriously this summer and equipping Moyes with a side good enough to finish in the top six.

They’ve never finished in the top seven three seasons in a row before in the Premier League and there’s every season to believe that it could be happening this week.
