Potter and Noble talks: Brady reveals West Ham behind-the-scenes discussions
Karren Brady has revealed the nature of talks between Mark Noble and new West Ham manager Graham Potter.
The former Chelsea and Brighton boss replaced Julen Lopetegui at the helm after his horrid first few months in charge at the London Stadium.
Currently, the Hammers find themselves in serious relegation danger as they’re in 14th place in the Premier League.
Brady told the Sun (10 January): “Graham has already spoken with Mark Noble about his desire to engage with and maximise the talent of our world-renowned Academy – something that is embedded so deeply into the fabric and soul of our club.”
Graham Potter needs to quickly bring about changes at West Ham
Potter can swiftly instigate changes at the London Stadium by leveraging the club’s rich academy resources, as highlighted by Brady.
His initial focus should be on integrating young talents from the academy into the first team, fostering a culture of youth development akin to his successful tenure at Brighton.
This approach can not only bring fresh energy and potential to the squad but also resonate with the club’s historical identity, thus re-energising the fanbase.
Tactically, the former Chelsea boss needs to impose a clear, possession-based style of play which has been his signature, aiming to stabilise the defence which has been conceding goals at an alarming rate.
He must also work on improving the team’s attacking coherence to climb up from their precarious 14th position in the Premier League.

Additionally, Potter should prioritise building a strong rapport with the existing squad to ensure buy-in for his methods, while simultaneously assessing the need for strategic signings in the transfer window to address immediate team deficiencies.
In other West Ham news, sources claim the Hammers can now secure the services of a £40m player in January.
