PAI Capital bid for West Ham takeover still on table

Nasib Piriyev, who’s heading PAI Capital’s bid to purchase West Ham, confirms that an offer is still on the table.

After allegedly making two unsuccessful bids, Piriyev stated that the consortium had ended their interest to buy the club. [Evening Standard]

He said: “I hope that our interest has been healthy for the club.”

When asked about whether the bid to buy West Ham was still on the table, Piriyev told The Athletic, “It will always be there. Our offer is on the table and we will not increase it anymore. It is already inflated and we are sure that nobody will meet this price expectation.

“We can do it because it’s part of a bigger business venture. We want to buy the club and inject money into it.”

Not passed it yet

Strangely, PAI are back in the picture after very publically declaring that they had pulled out and are not planning to buy West Ham anymore.

There’s been a lack of transparency since day one and that has only continued, given this recent interview given by Piriyev.

He is also saying things that are completely contrary to what the club are so at this point we’re not sure whom to believe.

West Ham

Had their interest been genuine, they wouldn’t have popped up from the blue and suddenly ended their interest.

There would have been proper talks behind-the-scenes, rather than a campaign in the media in a bid to appease the fanbase.

It seems like he was taking advantage of the London Stadium faithful’s relationship with the current board and quite frankly, we don’t think that supporters deserve to be treated like that.

In a way, it will be good if such people don’t take over control of the club.
