Nuno Espirito Santo has already done something Joe Cole has never seen after West Ham hire
Joe Cole has already made his feelings known on the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo at West Ham.
Nuno has been appointed by West Ham as David Sullivan opted to bring the ex-Wolves man in at the London Stadium.
This will see the Portuguese head coach replace Graham Potter after his shock sack at West Ham on Saturday morning.
Despite Potter undergoing West Ham media duty on Friday, he has been moved on and immediately replaced by Nuno in East London.
This has seen Cole speak out after the appointment of the 51-year-old to replace Potter in double quick fashion.

Joe Cole blown away by Nuno Espirito Santo’s delight
Paul Merson is unsold on a West Ham move for Nuno due to his style of play compared to the demands of the claret and blue faithful.
Irons fans hounded out David Moyes due to his pragmatic style of play, something which could soon be in the pipeline.
This sort of approach is likely to be taken up by the former Porto man after the success that he had throughout his spell at Nottingham Forest.
Nottingham Forest record | Nuno Espirito Santo |
Matches | 73 |
Wins | 32 |
Draws | 15 |
Losses | 26 |
This hasn’t gone down well with certain sections of the fanbase in E20, but it is clear that what ex-Hammers winger Cole thinks of the move.
The England international turned pundit, while speaking on TNT Sports on 27 September, revealed that he’d never seen Nuno look so happy after confirming his appointment at the London Stadium.
He said: “He must have got a good deal with that big smile on his face there. I’ve never seen him smile like that.
“It’s great for him, it’s fantastic for him. I think West Ham have got the right man in for this mini crisis that they’re in.”
Nuno Espirito Santo getting to work already at West Ham
Nuno has already taken training at Rush Green as he looks set to take the reins as the Hammers face Everton on Merseyside.
This can only be seen as a positive as the ex-goalkeeper starts to showcase his work ethic as head coach with the claret and blue outfit.
If he is already willing to put this work in, it seems that his heart is already with the Irons, showcased by his smile in his announcement images.
This has been picked up on by Cole and could be something that helps him become a fan favourite if results also turn around in the near future.
