Nordsjælland respond as West Ham United table transfer bid for Ibrahim Osman
Nordsjælland have issued a response as West Ham tabled their opening bid to sign Ibrahim Osman this month, according to Jacob Steinberg.
The Guardian journalist reported that the Danish club have turned down the Hammers’ offer for the Ghanaian winger.
While the price of the bid has not been specified, the Daily Mail have mentioned a £16million fee for the 19-year-old.
Via Twitter, Steinberg wrote: “West Ham’s initial bid for Ibrahim Osman was turned down. Remains to be seen if there’s a compromise on price. Winger is highly rated by recruitment team.”
Expensive?
Osman possesses a unique blend of speed, agility and technical skill that makes him a promising acquisition for West Ham.
Known for his ability to accelerate past defenders and navigate through tight spaces, the 19-year-old has the potential to be a dynamic attacking force.
His ambidexterity, demonstrated by an assist with his left foot, adds versatility to his game.
Defensively, Osman displays a good understanding of pressing systems and exhibits a willingness to contribute defensively which is something David Moyes would appreciate.
While the Ghanaian attacker has shown glimpses of his potential, the concern might be the consistency of his final product so at £16million, West Ham might find the price steep for a player who is still developing and hasn’t consistently delivered.
However, considering his age and potential, the investment could pay off in the long run, especially if Osman continues to develop and refine his game so it all depends on what the club’s priorities are.
