No reason to believe West Ham will be involved in relegation battle – David Moyes
David Moyes believes there is no reason to think that West Ham United will be involved in a Premier League relegation battle this season.
The Hammers had a slow start to their campaign where they have only managed to secure four points and because of this, they are placed in the relegation zone.
Moyes, while talking to Sky Sports, stated that he is “well aware” of the consequence of having poor results but remains optimistic that his experience will help the side in overcoming the poor form.

“We are well-aware of what will happen if we don’t win the games,” he said. “But it is also why I have longevity in it, and that’s why I am in it.
“I have the experience, I have been here. I have taken West Ham out of the relegation situation twice and the plan was never to be back in that again and I don’t see any reason why we will be.”
Important fixtures
West Ham’s season started as poorly as it could’ve where they have just one win out of the first seven league fixtures which came against Aston Villa on 28 August.
Those results look even poorer considering the Hammers were one of the biggest spenders in Europe during the summer transfer window.

Such a start was going to put pressure on any manager and the same is the case for Moyes who will know that despite his success over the last few years, he will only have a handful of games to save his job at the club.
The good thing for the Irons is that now they are getting into a phase of winnable matches as their next four out of the five opponents are Wolves on 1st October followed by Fulham, Southampton and Bournemouth with a match against Liverpool in between.
The fans will be hoping that the former Manchester United manager will be able to galvanise his players and ensure some important wins in the coming weeks.
