Nikola Vlasic ‘ready’ to leave West Ham on loan says Croatia boss Zlatko Dalic

West Ham forward Nikola Vlasic is “ready” to leave east London on loan, according to Croatia national team boss Zlatko Dalic.

The 24-year-old joined the Hammers last summer from CSKA Moscow on a five-year deal worth £27million.

Despite not bursting onto the scene in his first year back in England, David Moyes did show some confidence in the winger, playing him in the Premier League 19 times.

As “ready” as he is to leave, the Croatia international is also prepared to fight for his place says Dalic.

He said as per Claret & Hugh: “He’s ready in case he needs to be loaned out by West Ham.

“He came to the club that wanted him (West Ham), asked for him and paid for him. But Moyes’s style of play doesn’t suit him.

“He inspired me in training. He’s full of energy. He is aware of his situation. I spoke to him, he said he was ready to fight.”

Bizarre.

Why would Vlasic want to leave after just one season? It seems as if his previous spell in the Premier League at Everton might have had an impact on his thoughts if what his international boss said is true.

The attacker signed for the Blues in 2017 and just a year later was loaned out to CSKA Moscow where he eventually signed permanently.

You would like to think that West Ham isn’t as poorly run as the Merseyside outfit and that they wouldn’t spend a hefty amount on a player to then let go a mere year later.

Admittedly, he has failed to hit the heights many thought he would when joining last year but he is still adjusting to life in England.

Vlasic has shown some promise this season – he just needs more time to fully find his feet.

Hopefully, he stays and proves himself because going out on loan so soon wouldn’t be a good sign for the future of his Irons career.
