West Ham 2021 summer target Nikola Milenkovic is still being linked with a move to the London Stadium with his agent now doing his best.
Speaking to Italian media outlet Calciomercato, Gianluca Nani, the agent of the Fiorentina centre-back, said that he would be an ideal fit for the Hammers.
This clearly is an indication of him playing up the London Stadium links after not moving to east London a year and a half ago.
Nani said, “He, on the other hand, has all the characteristics to play in England: perfect physical characteristics for West Ham. I see him as excellent for the Hammers, so they can look for him. Then I don’t know if it will happen in January.”
Even this summer, West Ham were expected to knock on the Serie A club’s door to sign the Serbian centre-back, but ended up not doing that.
David Moyes always wanted to sign Nayef Aguerd and he ended up getting his man, but was extremely unlucky as he picked up a long-term injury before he even made his debut for the club.
This saw the club pursue Thilo Kehrer who can play at right-back as well and it made sense at the time to sign him.
However, a move for Milenkovic does make sense if the Hammers want to sign a long-term centre-back with a decent fitness record.
He’s only 25 and like his agent says he is a good physical defender that would complement the other players at West Ham and is also imperious in the air.
It remains to be seen if Moyes does sanction a January or summer move for him.
