Niclas Fullkrug injury update at West Ham as team news emerges vs Brentford
Nuno Espirito Santo has a potential six-pointer on the horizon as West Ham United face Brentford in the Premier League on Monday.
London Stadium will host Keith Andrews’ team on 20 October, with the Bees sitting three points above the Hammers in the table.
Nuno is undoubtedly tasked with avoiding relegation this season as they sit 19th in the league table after a poor start to the season.
The Irons parted ways with Graham Potter and appointed the former Nottingham Forest manager to turn the tide in E20, and a win over the West London club will certainly be massive.

West Ham wait on Niclas Fullkrug scan as George Earthy still out injured
Niclas Fullkrug is still waiting for the result of his scan before the Hammers determine the extent of his injury, Nuno shared.
The Portuguese manager admitted that it’s hard to know how long the Germany international will be out of action at the London Stadium after picking up a knock in training before the international break.
Nuno revealed that apart from the 32-year-old striker and George Earthy, every other player is available for selection against Brentford.
Speaking in the pre-match press conference on 17 October, he said: “He just made a scan. Still waiting for the results. Then we can say exactly what time he’s going to be out. [Estimation of absence] depends on the scan, depends on the player’s own timing. Hopefully sooner.”
Nuno Espirito Santo risks sack at London Stadium in next two games
Nuno is willing to give Mads Hermanssen a chance at the London Stadium, which will be a controversial decision after his woeful start in E20.
The former Leicester City goalkeeper has already frustrated many fans at the Hammers after making some abysmal mistakes in the opening fixtures of the campaign.
Another predicament the Portuguese manager faces is that if he loses the next two matches, it will be a bitter blow to the Irons’ chances of survival.
Premier League table | Points |
15. Leeds United | 8 |
16. Brentford | 7 |
17. Nottingham Forest | 5 |
18. Burnley | 4 |
19. West Ham | 4 |
20. Wolves | 2 |
West Ham are definitely competing to survive Premier League relegation, and losses to Brentford and Leeds United will undoubtedly leave Nuno stranded.
David Sullivan and Co. are unpopular figures at the London Stadium, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see fan protests ramp up soon.
The Hammers’ owners have been trigger-happy in recent months, and another managerial change shouldn’t be ruled out.
