Newcastle want to sign West Ham duo Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen amid change in transfer policy

Newcastle are reportedly eyeing a summer move for not one but two West Ham players as they’re set to loosen the purse strings.

According to the Telegraph [17 April], Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen are on their radar for the summer transfer window as they have decided to scrap their policy of having a cautious approach to transfers.

Chief scout Steve Nickson has been asked to draw up shortlists ahead of the summer but the Hammers duo are believed to be under consideration.

Double exit?

Rice leaving the club is almost inevitable in the summer but Bowen could also follow him through the door if he is not impressed with what’s going on behind the scenes.

Newcastle are in a position where West Ham were a year ago and were looking like they were cementing their spot as the best of the rest.

Unlike the Hammers, they’ve got plenty of money and are willing to use it to strengthen the eleven as well as add to the depth.

Along with Rice and Bowen, there have been several other Premier League players mentioned who they would be looking at in the summer.

There’s a good reason for most of the West Ham key players to leave if Moyes still stays on as manager and fans will not even hold that against those that decide to jump ship.

Recently, Rice and Mark Noble even had heated words with the manager and it’s pretty clear that he’s not rated that highly behind the scenes.
