Newcastle and Arsenal open to £62m outlay for West Ham United midfielder Lucas Paqueta
Newcastle and Arsenal are reportedly willing to spend around £62million in order to sign West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta.
According to Fichajes [26 February], this price could be prohibitive for some Premier League clubs but not the aforementioned duo.
There will be more information in the coming weeks about any potential negotiations ahead of a summer move.

No chance
The only way Paqueta leaves West Ham in the summer is if a club tables an offer that ensures West Ham will make twice what they spent to sign him.
With Declan Rice likely to go too, there’s no chance they will let two of their best players leave the club as it will leave a gaping hole in the squad.
Whether it’s David Moyes or whoever else is in charge, they’re not allowing Paqueta to leave under any circumstances and it may only get complicated if he asks to leave.

However, even that seems unlikely as there were a number of clubs keen on signing him but he still moved to the London Stadium.
Hopefully, they end up spending the Rice money wisely and bring in a suitable partner for Paqueta as he’s certainly not played as well as he can this season.
Ideally, a new manager also must come in as the feeling is that he’s taken this West Ham side as far as he could.
