Neil Ruddock shares where West Ham United ace Declan Rice would ‘fit in’ best live on talkSPORT
Neil Ruddock believes West Ham ace Declan Rice would “fit in” best at Premier League rivals Liverpool.
The pundit believes the Reds are “crying out” for a player like Rice, adding that he can be the next Steven Gerrard, with an exit heavily linked already.
The Hammers star could make his final Hammers appearance in the Europa Conference League final against Fiorentina on Wednesday (7 June).
“Where’s the best place for him to go do you think?” Natalie Sawyer asked Ruddock live on talkSPORT.
Ruddock replied: “Liverpool. Obviously, I’m biased towards Liverpool, and Tottenham and Millwall, but I don’t think he’s going to play for those two.
“Liverpool are crying out for him, he’d fit in, they’d love him. He can be the new Steven Gerrard, and what a thing to be.”

Exciting idea
Liverpool fans would quite simply be overjoyed, and perhaps a little shocked, if they are the club to land Rice’s signature this summer.
After several years of starring in the West Ham midfield, the England international looks certain to be on the move in the coming months.
But the major uncertainty is where he will go, with the likes of Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Chelsea all seemingly potential destinations for Hammers captain Rice.
But the Reds will probably also try and throw their hat in the ring, with a new midfielder definitely the priority for Jurgen Klopp in the summer transfer window.
Whether or not they can afford him is another issue entirely, but there is no question that he would improve the club and help them get back to their best.
Midfielders Naby Keita and James Milner are both moving on this summer, with their exits forcing Klopp to look for replacements over the coming months.
